My name is Frank Mejia, and I was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Being  Mexican is not just where I'm from, it's who I am, I carry it with orgullo. I was raised with values like respeto, humildad, and familismo,  where family comes first, and love is shown through actions. My culture taught me to stay connected to my community, honor my roots, and represent my family with integrity everywhere I go, even as life changes; those traditions and values remain my foundation and guide how I move through the world. 

My parents are immigrants, and their sacrifices have shaped my entire life. My father didn't even make it out of elementary school because he had to work and take responsibilities early, but he still taught me discipline, resilience, and strength. My mother worked hard to earn her GED, and my father supported her through the process, showing what it means to uplift each other as a family. I am the first in my family to graduate from college, and now I'm pursuing Graduate School milestones that represent years of persistence and the dreams my parents carried for me. This was supposed to be a bio about me, but I've realized the story is my family's story. I am the product of their sacrifices.
